چکیده

We study the stochastic mass-conserving Allen-Cahn equation posed on a smoothly bounded domain of R2 with additive, spatially smooth, space-time noise. This equation describes the stochastic motion of a small almost semicircular droplet attached to domain’s boundary and moving towards a point of locally maximum curvature. We apply Itô calculus to derive the stochastic dynamics of the center of the droplet by utilizing the approximately invariant manifold introduced by Alikakos, Chen and Fusco [2] for the deterministic problem. In the stochastic case depending on the scaling, the motion is driven by the change in the curvature of the boundary and the stochastic forcing. Moreover, under the assumption of a sufficiently small noise strength, we establish stochastic stability of a neighborhood of the manifold of boundary droplet states in the L2and H1-norms, which means that with overwhelming probability the solution stays close to the manifold for very long time-scales.

The existence of global attractor for a Cahn-Hilliard/Allen-Cahn‎ ‎equation

In this paper, we consider a Cahn-Hillard/Allen-Cahn equation. By using the semigroup and the classical existence theorem of global attractors, we give the existence of the global attractor in H^k(0

Di use interface surface tension models in an expanding ow

We consider a di usive interface surface tension model under compressible ow. The equation of interest is the Cahn-Hilliard or Allen-Cahn equation with advection by a non-divergence free velocity eld. We prove that both model problems are well-posed. We are especially interested in the behavior of solutions with respect to droplet breakup phenomena. Numerical simulations of 1,2 and 3D all illus...

On the short time asymptotic of the stochastic Allen-Cahn equation

A description of the short time behavior of solutions of the Allen-Cahn equation with a smoothened additive noise is presented. The key result is that in the sharp interface limit solutions move according to motion by mean curvature with an additional stochastic forcing. This extends a similar result of Funaki [9] in spatial dimension n = 2 to arbitrary dimensions. Resumé On étudie le comportem...

Diffuse Interface Surface Tension Models in an Expanding Flow

We consider a diffusive interface surface tension model under compressible flow. The equation of interest is the Cahn-Hilliard or Allen-Cahn equation with advection by a non-divergence free velocity field. These are two reduced models which show important properties of the full-scale surface tension model. We prove that both model problems are well-posed. We are especially interested in the beh...
